After School & Parent Pickup Procedures


AFTER SCHOOL PICK UP
Due to increased security concerns, students who are picked up after school will need to be picked up in the cafeteria. This is being done for the safety of your child. Please do not ask your child to meet you at any other part of the campus for pick up. Your cooperation and understanding is greatly appreciated. On rainy days the students will move to the library for parent pick-up.z


PARENT PICK-UP PROCEDURES
All students in parent pick-up are required to line up outside and then walk to the cafeteria in an orderly manner.

The students are to sit quietly at the tables closest to the faculty parking area. Parents must park their car and enter the cafeteria to pick up their child. A teacher will be on duty to supervise the student.

For the safety of students and parents, we are asking that you return to your car from the cafeteria using one of three routes:

1. If you are parked on the preschool side of the parking lot, please cross the parking lot directly in front of the cafeteria and walk between the parked cars and the chain link fence. Curbs have been installed to separate the cars from the fence.
   
   
2. If you are parked in the main parking lot, please walk to the crosswalk by the student drop off area and cross into the lot.
   
   
3. If the student is normally a bus student, but is going to be a parent pick-up for a special occasion, the parent must write a note or notify the school by phone. If the student does not have a note or the office has not been notified, the student must ride the bus home.

Each student has an emergency card which lists the adults who may pick her/him up. Parents need to update this list as changes occur. Students will not be released to any individual who is not listed on the emergency card.
