Health Concerns and Hygiene

Health Concerns
A child should not be sent to school with the following conditions or symptoms:
• infectious disease
• lice
• sore throat
• runny nose
• cough
• stomach ache
• fever
• rash
If any of these conditions arise at school, your child may be sent home. Basic first aid is provided for minor injuries. If serious injury occurs, parents will be contacted and appropriate emergency procedures will be taken.

Medication
We cannot administer any medication unless the parent or guardian has completed a medication form. All medication will be kept in the school office and will be identified with the student's name, dosage, and doctor's name. Whenever possible, try to space medication doses before and after school.

Personal Hygiene / Restrooms
Restrooms are provided for your convenience. It is important to keep restrooms clean. Make sure you wash your hands with soap and water and place all paper towels in the trash. Diseases may be transmitted when not using proper hygiene. Keep our school looking clean. Be RESPONSIBLE; do your best to put trash in its place and keep restrooms clean.
