Playground
PLAYGROUND RULES
- Play only in designated areas where there is supervision. Do not play in halls, walkways, parking lots, hillsides, behind or between portables, or outside of fenced areas. During recess, unless they have a pass, students are not to cross the yellow line separating the playground and school buildings.
- Wait in lines in an orderly fashion. Follow line procedures.
- No tackling, tripping, hitting, pushing or kicking.
- Use play equipment properly. No hardball baseballs, super balls, tennis balls or flying toys (there may be exceptions for P.E. activities). No toys should be brought from home for use on the playground.
- Stop all play when the bell rings. Walk to your line in an orderly manner.
- Carry all equipment back to class. Do not continue to play with equipment after the bell.
- No throwing of rocks or kicking of any object other than approved balls
- Use the equipment safely:
- keep at least one hand and foot firmly placed when moving about on the climbing structures
- move slowly and keep your hands and feet to yourself
- go down the slide one at a time
- climb down the structure, never jump off
- never use the structures or sandbox on a rainy day
- Respect games in progress.
- Stay off all fences, gates and backstops.
